What is QMAP?

A QMAP is a Qualified Medication Administration Person such as a caregiver who is trained by a training entity approved by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to administer medications in setting such as assisted livings, day programs, residential child care facilities, program approved service agencies, adult foster care, secure residential treatment centers.

Eligibility Requirements

Basic Math and English skills
Complete the module on the CDPHE Website (www.healthfacilities.info) and upload
Must be 18 years of age
Picture ID
Proof when registering for class
Sign a Disclosure Statement

Scope of Practice

Administer medications in the approved setting such assisted living facility, alternative care facility, etc.
Administer regularly scheduled medications via ingestion, inhalation, application, and insertion
